I graduated from Colorado Institute of Massage Therapy in October 1998. I am a Licensed Massage Therapist in the State of Colorado and Certified in Neuromuscular Therapy by The International Academy of Neuromuscular Therapy. I am also a certified RNR therapist.
When not working, I love to hang out with my 17 year son, John, and my husband, Kevin. We enjoy going to basketball, baseball, football and hockey games, along with going to the movies, fishing, bowling, rodeos, camping and traveling.
Deep Tissue Massage reaches deeper layers of muscles. It is used to break down knots and relieve pressure points throughout the body. Neuromuscular therapy also enhances the function of joints and muscles, and accelerates the overall healing process by facilitating the release of endorphins. This massage is beneficial for athletes and those who sit for long periods of time.
RNR™ is a neuromuscular massage technique that supports the relationship between the nerves and the muscles through the golgi tendon organs. RNR™ is a unique technique and is very effective in reducing the "pain cycle" to encourage healing. RNR™ is designed for a "full body session", or as a "pain spot reducer", or to enhance other techniqes. The mission of RNR™ is to bring about a sense of balance and well being to both the client and the therapist during and after every session. RNR™ is easy on the therapist, especially their hands.
Pregnancy Massage is a style of bodywork designed specifically for pregnant women. Pregnancy is a time when a woman's body endures tremendous stress due to dramatic physical and emotional changes. Using various techniques specially developed for the expecting mother, Pregnancy Massage helps release the pain and discomfort experienced throughout pregnancy. The benefits are profound, including emotional support, the relief of joint pain due to extra weight and postural imbalance, and improved breathing and relaxation.
Chair massage is a massage you receive in a specialized ergonomic chair. In addition to the usual health benefits of massage, another benefit of chair massage is that it is done over the clothing. With seated massage, you can avoid the discomfort and awkwardness that you may feel in disrobing for a traditional massage. Also, chair massage sessions are usually shorter than traditional massage, making it convenient enough to fit into your busy schedule.
The goal of Swedish Massage is to melt away muscle tension and increase the blood flow to your heart. Swedish Massage is extremely therapeutic as it decreases muscle toxins, increases oxygen levels in the blood, and improves flexibility in the body. Swedish Massage is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork. It combines oils or lotion with an array of strokes such as rolling, kneading, and percussion to help the body improve its circulation. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, improved appearance, and greater flexibility.
Your choice = 1/2 hour; 1 hour; 1 1/2 hour; 2 hour
I base my massage off of a Swedish or Relaxation massage and add in Neuromuscular or Deep Tissue massage with RNR™ techniques.
I have helped people with many different problems. If you see a doctor, chiropractor, or therapist, ask them if there is anything specific they want us to work on during the massage.
Unless a doctor, chiropractor, or therapist says to come in _ per week for _ weeks. I leave it up to you, the client, due to your time and your money. My goal is that we get you to a manageable pain control and maintain after that. Only you know when pain or achiness is coming on.
I work Monday-Friday, by appointment only.
No, not at this time.
When you get on Fillmore you will turn south on Prospect Street. You will see a post office on the right, my office is located right across the street.
